• Leaders in Economic Development - The class visits various major employers in the area and hears about their impact on Tangipahoa Parish. Public and private economic development officials discuss where are parish is going, what is in the future, and how we can help bring business to our communities.
• Educational Leadership - The class explores the various school models in the community. Public and private schools are visited as well as the Northshore Technical Community College and Southeastern Louisiana University.
• Leaders in Government - The class comes to an understanding of the legislative process, parish government, public service challenges, Louisiana's forms of government, and Home
Rule Charters
• Leaders Understanding Diversity - The is a continual dialogue on diversity, team building, racial and geographical polarization are explored.
• Leadership for Community Health - The class is exposed to a number of social service organizations as well as a tour of the three models of healthcare in Tangipahoa Parish.
• Leading and Developing in Art/Culture/History - The class gets a first hand look at the many opportunities our parish offiers for locals and visitors.
• Leadership and Criminal Justice - The class takes an
up-close look at our juvenile crime and community solutions, CASA, parish jail, the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office and the 911 Emergency Response Center.
• In a Leader's Footsteps - After each class, participants share their experience on the day and their individual take-away from the session. This allows various opinions and outlooks from various points of view.
