On June 16, 2016, Leadership Tangipahoa welcomed Parish President, Robby Miller, as the Keynote speaker at the Tangipahoa School Board offices in Amite, LA to celebrate the 2016 Leadership Tangipahoa graduation. Robby Miller was introduced by TaMarlon T. Carter, Chair of Leadership Tangipahoa Board. Mr. Carter offered up a moving introduction of Parish President Miller with an especially powerful prayer from Mother Teresa, describing Mr. Miller as a Parish President that leads with faith and exemplifies Mother Teresa's teachings to "do good anyway" and "give your best anyway." President Miller congratulated the graduates of the Leadership Tangipahoa Class of 2015-2016 and urged them to continue being leaders in this parish and working together to make Tangipahoa Great. The Master of Ceremonies was the outgoing Chair of Leadership Tangipahoa, Rhonda Sheridan, Executive Assistant to Ponchatoula Mayor Robert Zabbia. Also in attendance were past Parish President Gordon Burgess and his wife, Margaret. The graduates received a glass award, etched with their name and class year, as well as a certificate from the Leadership Tangipahoa Board, and a special pin presented by President Miller. The class elected Jeremy Peltier as their president to represent them on next years' board. For the past eleven months, this class has experienced many aspects of Tangipahoa Parish.
